Our ability to take risks and create healthy structures of accountability will contribute to our growth immensely.

Learn to take risks

Growing in the gifts of the Spirit require faith and boldness, it is almost impossible to operate in the gifts of the Spirit if you are not willing to take risks. Start by believing God in the small things. As you trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and are affirmed by the fulfillment of the word the Lord gives you, confidence will rise in your heart.

Culture of accountability

Accountability demands that the prophet and the prophetic vessel be responsible for his/her words. Anytime the gifts of the spirit are not surrounded by Godly structures of accountability there is room for abuse and error.

Here are a couple of ways you can create accountability.

– Journal the words you give to people
– Stay accountable to a leader or a friend
– Seek the permission of the leader in charge before you share the word
– When you are unsure, let them know that you are not 100% sure of the word
